Hannover, March 02-06, 2010 - Force Fusion demonstrates their concept of Lean Computing at CeBIT 2010. Lean Computing reduces the required resources for desktop management to the bare minimum while increasing the flexibility for both user and the system administrator.

In a Lean Computing environment, the desktops consume only 2 gigabyte each. Force Fusion will show a density of 450+ virtual desktops per physical server. All applications, regardless of the amount of users, are only installed once. This has a huge impact on storage demand and flexibility within each organisation. With Lean Computing the users make use of no-maintenance clients which dramatically decreases helpdesk support.

During the event Force Fusion will demonstrate:
•    Ramp up from 0-1000 full performing virtual desktops in just minutes
•    Scheduled presence and deletion of virtual desktops in a large scale environment
•    A migration from MSOffice 2003 to MSOffice 2007 on 1000 desktops in 1 minute
•    User controlled self-support on clients
•    And attempt to run the highest density per server ever of Virtual Desktops.

All types of users can be connected, be it a task worker, office or power user. In a Lean Computing environment all users are connected to the virtual desktops with no-maintenance devices. The devices shown will be a converted diskless PC (Dinamiqs), the Pano Logic device (zero client with no CPU), and a PCoIP client for power users (Dell).
