Extreme desktop virtualization at CeBIT 2010
Force Fusion, a provider of virtualization and desktop solutions, showcases 10,000 simultaneously running virtual desktops in Hall 2 Stand C30.

Fusion Force demonstrates its concept of Lean Computing during CeBIT 2010. Lean Computing reduces the computing resources for desktop management to a minimum and also increases the flexibility for both user and administrator. In a Lean in a computing environment the operating only 2 gibabyte is needed for each each Virtual Desktop. Fusion Force shows a density of 350+ virtual desktops per physical server. All applications are installed only once, regardless of the number of users. This has a huge impact on the required storage and flexibility in every organization. Lean Computing make use of a zeroclient that does not require maintenance. In addition, the user can, with a click of his mouse reset or regenerate a virtual desktop or application. This reduces the need for helpdesk support.

At the Cebit 2010 Force Fusion demonstrates:
• The Start from 0-1000 operational virtual desktops in minutes
• Automated shutdown or start of virtual desktops based on a planned schedule
• A migration from MS Office 2003 to MS Office 2007 on 1,000 desktops in <1 minute
• Simple user support by themselves themselves without intervention of the helpdesk
• The highest density ever of virtual desktops on a physical server. "

Task user, office user or power user, they can all work in a Lean Computing environment. The maintenance-free clients Force Fusion shows on the stand include a converted PC without HDD, the Panologic Device (Zero client without processor) and a PCoIP client for power users. But if desired, also a regular PC system can link to the Lean Computing environment. Everything is controlled from one management console. The performance of the entire virtual environment is monitored with software from Veeam.

Lean Computing is working on both the client and server side so extreme that savings of well above the 75% of the TCO can be achieved. Much more important is the added value is achieved by the enormous flexibility and ability to act quickly in any organization.

Fusion Force shows the following products at the Cebit 2010 show:
• EMCstorage (Symmetrix V-max)
• Monitoring Veeam Software
• Pano Logic Zero Client
• Dell PC and PCoIP client.

Fusion Force is an IT solution provider with only one goal, earning as much as possible for the customer.
